Tad Matley

Tad has been coming to Schroon Lake since 2002. As a graduate of Rutgers and Purdue, he worked at GE for 33 years in various US locations and abroad, culminating as a senior executive in Manufacturing/Operations Management. These days Tad serves on the Seagle Festival Advisory board and ESSLA. He has held a VP position at ESSLA and started Schroon Lake’s Loon Friendly Lake Certification, including the introduction of the floating nest platform. He is involved with the ESSLA/SLA Environmental Committee as well as ESSLA’s efforts to combat Wake issues on the lake. Tad enjoys boating, fishing, kayaking, sailing, campfires, time on the water with his granddaughters, playing pickleball with his friends and shows at Seagle.  Tad says he is energized by the lake, the mountains and his afternoon naps on the hammock.
