With the help of volunteers in our Lake Scout Program, we survey the lake for AIS such as Eurasian Watermilfoil and Curly-Leaf Pondweed.

Along with SLA and grants to the towns of Schroon, Chester and Horicon, we assist with funding professionals to hand harvest Milfoil.
Helping to ensure boats arriving at the Horicon boat launch don’t spread invasives through our involvement with boat steward inspections and decontamination efforts.
Testing for water quality and bacteriological concerns.
Participating in CSLAP (Citizens Statewide Lake Assessment Program) to obtain baseline water quality information, understand trends and maintain the health of Schroon Lake.
