ESSLA Floating Classroom

All aboard ESSLA’s Floating Classroom. Learn what makes Schroon Lake unique among lakes in the Adirondacks. From geology to glaciers to watershed to water quality and invasives, this hands-on experience is fascinating!

“I’ve lived on the lake all my life, and never knew this stuff,” said one gentleman after getting off the cruise.

There’s so much to learn about our lake. This is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a learning experience while cruising the lake. ESSLA has teamed up with the Adirondack Watershed Institute (AWI) of Paul Smith’s and the Adirondack Park Invasive Plant Program (APIPP) for a full two hours of fun and education.

This is a terrific program for the grandkids, parents and seniors alike. We will board a pontoon boat at the Horicon boat launch on Glendale Road in Adirondack. Make sure you reserve your seat for this FREE event.  It fills up quickly. There will be two sailings each day, July 17 and Aug 14, 9am and 11am.
