Minutes Executive Meeting ESSLA – Feb 25, 2010

Executive members present – Bill McGhie, Jane Smith, Peter Oberdorf, Cliff Bouchard and Joanne McGhie

Absent –Vince Blando, Anne Pieper, Jerry DiGiovanni, Chrys Matterson and Steve Fahey.

Work is progressing on our incorporation and efforts to become a 501c3 corporation.

We will need further discussion of our goals.

Vince has still not heard back from WOL on us using their facility for our meetings. Jane has contacted the Pottersville Fire Dept about a meeting place for this year. They said we would be welcome to use their facilities.

We still do not have a speaker for the June meeting. Jane will look into Emily DeBolt, the lake steward for Lake George, or possibly someone from the APA, i.e. Fred Monroe.

We discussed possible approaches to Lake level issues. Peter will follow up on speed & noise issues with the 3 town supervisors.

Membership drive is to be an email to present members and ‘snail mail’ to those who do not respond as well as previous members and prospective members.

Web site: Chrys is continuing to work on our web site. Hopefully we can get someone to be her backup support.

Peter suggested we join the North Warren Chamber of Commerce. Jane will get a copy of their application and bring it to our next meeting.

We need to make a decision on our official logo. Vince and Anne will be back in April and we can work on it then.
